Ingredients

  • 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey (lean)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole preferred)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat and diced onions until cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cooked meat with cream of mushroom soup and milk until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the tater tots in the baking dish, add the meat mixture on top, and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  5. Top with remaining tater tots and cheese.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
