  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Sauté garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
  3. Add tomatoes: Stir in diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook until softened (5-7 minutes).
  4. Make the sauce: Reduce heat, gradually stir in heavy cream, and simmer until slightly thickened (3-4 minutes).
  5. Combine: Add cooked pasta, Parmesan cheese, and basil to the skillet. Toss well, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Serve: Dish out portions into bowls and garnish with additional basil or Parmesan if desired.
