  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 3 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk with salt and spices for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from the buttermilk, shake off excess, and dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.

  5. Fry chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 12-15 minutes per side.
