  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. For the brownie batter, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. For the cookie dough, cream softened butter with granulated sugar until fluffy. Beat in an egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until well blended.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan. Top with dollops of cookie dough and layer remaining brownie batter on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
