  • 1 cup strong espresso or coffee (cooled)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Brew strong espresso and let it cool slightly. Add sugar while hot to dissolve.
  2. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
  5. Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee and layer them in your dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top.
  6. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture. Smooth out layers evenly.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder.
