  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook spaghetti until al dente according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Brown the ground beef and season with salt and pepper (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with oregano and basil until combined.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti followed by half of the meat sauce, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella.
  6. Repeat the layering process with remaining ingredients, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
