  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic until translucent (3-4 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  4. Boil water in a separate pot; cook ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  5. Stir marinara sauce into the skillet with cooked beef; simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, combine cooked ziti with ricotta cheese and Italian seasoning; mix gently.
  7. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the meat sauce, half of the ziti mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers and finish with mozzarella on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
