  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, melt the butter and stir in the brown and granulated sugars until combined.
  3. Mix in the eggs and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
  4. Mash the bananas in a separate bowl, then fold them into the wet mixture.
  5. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring gently until just combined. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
