  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract, then stir in the mashed bananas.
  4. Gradually add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but soft in the center.
