  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Incorporate cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Stir rolled oats into half of the crust mixture for the topping.
  4. Combine pitted cherries with sugar and vanilla; let sit for 10 minutes.
  5. Press half of the crust mixture into the baking dish, layer with cherry filling, then sprinkle remaining oat mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool before cutting into squares.
