Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and sugar until dissolved. Sprinkle in yeast and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well in the center.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs into the well; combine to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Let rise in an oiled bowl covered with cloth for about 1 hour.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Roll tightly from one edge to create a log; pinch seams to seal. Place in greased loaf pan and let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
