  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (plus more for topping)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, sautéed onions and garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or place it in a loaf pan.
  5. Spread additional ketchup on top if desired.
  6. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
