Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter until fluffy; gradually add sugar and mix until pale.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually fold in dry ingredients and milk alternately until just combined.
  6. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
