  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads or flatbreads
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, ground beef, onion, and garlic. Mix until well blended.
  2. Add oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to incorporate the spices.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf or patties and place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until cooked through.
  5. For extra flavor, sear each side in a hot skillet until golden brown.
