  • 4 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • Egg wash (1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp milk – optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped apples with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Roll out pie crust and cut circles for the muffin tin.
  4. Place dough circles in muffin cups and fill with apple mixture. Top with butter pieces.
  5. Cover with additional dough circles; brush with egg wash if desired.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
