  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping garlic and basil while rinsing cherry tomatoes under cold water.
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes).
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add cherry tomatoes and cook until softened (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Drain the spaghetti, reserving 1/4 cup of the cooking water. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with garlic and tomatoes. Toss well to combine.
  5. Gently fold in chopped basil and grated parmesan cheese, adding reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess. Serve hot.
