  • 1 cup warm milk

  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and brown sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, pumpkin puree, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  4. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  7. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Roll tightly into a log; slice into pieces and place in a greased baking dish.
  9. Allow to rise again for about 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Drizzle warm rolls with icing made from powdered sugar and vanilla mixed with water or milk.
