Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the pumpkin puree and egg until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and fold gently.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. For the icing, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Frost cooled cookies generously with cream cheese icing.
