  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onions until translucent, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  6. Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Add baked meatballs to the sauce and cook on low heat for an additional 10 minutes.
