  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook jumbo pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, basil, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix well.
  4. Stuff each shell with the ricotta mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish and place stuffed shells seam-side up.
  6. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
