Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (360g)
  • 1/4 tsp instant yeast (1g)
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt (7g)
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (360ml)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add warm water to the dry ingredients. Stir until no dry flour remains. The dough will be shaggy.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel and let it rise for 12-18 hours at room temperature until bubbly.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape it into a ball, and let rest for another hour while you preheat your Dutch oven to 450°F (232°C).
  5. Carefully transfer the dough into the hot pot. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before slicing.
