Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • 4 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (divided)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Add the beef strips and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until hot. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  3. Sear the beef in batches until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes). Transfer to a plate.
  4. In the same pan, add remaining oil and toss in broccoli florets with a splash of water. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
  5. Return the beef to the pan with any remaining marinade. Stir for another minute until heated through. Drizzle sesame oil before serving.
