  • 1 pound Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
  • 3 bell peppers (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green), sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. Brown the sausages in the skillet for about 8-10 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the pan and slice into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft.
  4. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook for an additional minute.
  5. Combine sliced sausages back into the skillet with vegetables and stir for 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve hot over pasta, in hoagie rolls, or as desired.
