  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • Food coloring (orange and black)
  • Halloween-themed sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients until just blended.
  4. Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with batter.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
  6. For the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar until fluffy. Divide into bowls and tint one orange and another black before decorating your cupcakes.
