Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 12 oz pasta (fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Juice and zest of 2 fresh lemons
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest; stir continuously and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken and add it back into the skillet with the drained pasta. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water if necessary.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy; garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
